Task is the maintenance follow-up register. From Resources, select a task badge or choose Display tasks to open Task already filtered to the selected registration and open items.
Use a task when work needs an owner, status, priority, start/due dates, recurrence, or history. Examples include:
- Obtain an AMO estimate
- Review a part-delivery date
- Verify a closing document
- Recheck a recurring reliability pattern
- Prepare an upcoming inspection
Before adding a task, check whether one already exists for the registration. After saving, verify the assignee, due date, status, and resource association. The complete Task workflow—creation, assignment, priorities, recurrence, closing, filtering, and history—is documented in the Task Center help chapter.
