Maintenance Center

Published 7 October 2026, Updated 7 October 2026

1. Purpose and audience

The Flight resources maintenance center is the operational workspace for controlling aircraft availability, squawks, maintenance visits, scheduled unavailability, technical follow-up, utilization, and reliability trends.

This chapter is written primarily for the Person Responsible of the Maintenance Control System. It is also intended for maintenance managers, operations managers, quality personnel, auditors, and other authorized staff who need to understand whether a flight resource can be released or what action is still outstanding.

The Maintenance Center supports decisions; it does not replace the aircraft technical record, approved maintenance data, an authorized release, or engineering judgment. Before changing an aircraft state, always verify the registration, the current flight position, the limiting squawk, and the intended effective time.

2. Access and permission-dependent views

The page changes according to the responsibilities granted to the signed-in member. This is intentional.

Access levelTypical experience
Maintenance viewCan review resources, squawks, dashboard information, trends, and other visible records, but cannot perform management actions.
Audit accessCan review information needed for oversight. Management-only tabs and private material are hidden.
Squawk or maintenance managementCan manage squawks and maintenance states and can see the Status board, AMO manager, private files, private notes, and History.
Resource managementCan add, modify, deactivate, reactivate, and configure resources, subject to the organization’s access rules.
AI maintenance accessCan see the AI tab when the feature is active for the organization.

If a button, tab, edit field, or right-click action described in this chapter is absent, first confirm the member’s assigned responsibilities. A missing control is usually an access difference, not a display failure.

3. Page organization and saved layout

The main workspace contains these tabs:

TabMain purpose
ResourcesCurrent fleet status, next-due information, maintenance state, AMO, utilization, and quick actions.
SquawksFleet-wide squawk list and aircraft selector view.
DashboardAvailability, activity, pilot-squawk, AMO, and tag statistics.
Status boardManagement-only exceptions requiring review before release.
Risk HeatmapAircraft/type-normalized squawk trends by system tag.
AIWeekly interpretive maintenance reliability assessment, when enabled and authorized.
TaskMaintenance follow-up tasks. This tab stays at the right of the tab bar.

The tabs between Resources and AI can be dragged into a preferred order. The order is saved for the current member. Moving a tab changes only its position; it does not change data or permissions.

Many grids also remember personal display choices. When a result looks unexpected, reset filters, show inactive records if relevant, and refresh before concluding that information is missing.
