10. Files and private notes
10.1 Public Files
Public Files are visible to all members who can open the resource.
- Confirm the registration.
- Drag the intended file into the drop area.
- At Do you need to rename the file?, choose:
- Yes to upload using the replacement name entered in the dialog;
- No to keep the original name; or
- Cancel to stop.
- Wait for the refreshed file list and verify the file appears.
Use Public Files only for material appropriate for the general authorized membership. Remove or replace obsolete material according to the organization’s document-control practice.

10.2 Private Files
Private Files use the same drag-and-drop and rename workflow but are visible only to members who can manage resources or squawks. The lock icon identifies the tab as restricted.
Use this area for controlled internal working material that is appropriate for the authorized maintenance group. It does not replace the official technical-record repository.

10.3 Private notes
Private notes are visible only to members who can manage resources or squawks.
- Enter or revise the note in the editor.
- Select Save.
- Wait for the saved state before closing the dialog.
Write notes so another authorized manager can understand the context, decision, owner, and next action. Do not use this free-text area as a substitute for a squawk closure, maintenance release, or assigned task.

11. Daily records tab
Daily records shows Flight Record activity for the selected resource. It is useful for reconciling TTSN, Hobbs, utilization, and OpenAviation transfers.
Visible fields include:
- Position link
- Activity date and activity-type icon
- PIC and student
- From and To locations
- Ramp-out, Start, Takeoff, Landing, Off, and Ramp-in times
- Ground time, air time, and total time
- Hobbs out, Hobbs in, and Hobbs discrepancy
- OA check mark when the record has been synchronized with OpenAviation
Totals for ground, air, and total time appear in the footer for the loaded rows.

11.1 Filter and inspect daily records
Use the search toolbar to filter by date range, PIC, student, origin, or destination. Date presets include recent days, months, years, and all time. The toolbar also provides:
- Refresh
- Toggle Search Toolbar
- UTC/local time toggle
- Chart per month
- Print the currently filtered records
The UTC button changes how times are displayed; it does not change the stored activity. Confirm the intended time basis before comparing a row with another record.

12. Scheduler tab inside Squawk Manager
The Scheduler tab displays a 24-hour timeline by date for the selected resource. It combines live Scheduler activity with maintenance unavailability blocks.
Scroll horizontally to move between dates and vertically through the day. As the view reaches either horizontal edge, additional dates can load. The header and left time scale stay aligned with the timeline.

12.1 Add a maintenance unavailability period
You can prepare the time range in either way:
- Drag across consecutive 30-minute cells on one date, then select Add a Maintenance schedule; or
- Select Add a Maintenance schedule without a selection. The dialog defaults from the current time to two hours later.
Then:
- Review From and To. Times use 30-minute increments and To cannot precede From.
- Add a concise comment explaining the operational reason.
- Select Add.
- Verify that the block appears on the correct date and time.
- Confirm the resource is unavailable in the live Scheduler for that period.
A maintenance schedule block is temporary. It does not create, postpone, or close a squawk, and it does not mark the aircraft in maintenance.

12.2 Refresh or remove a block
Select Refresh to reload the timeline. A maintenance-created block shows a delete icon when removal is allowed. Select it and verify that the block disappears; then refresh the live Scheduler before relying on the resource’s availability.
Live Scheduler activities are displayed for context and are not deleted from this maintenance timeline.

13. History tab
History is the audit-oriented resource timeline available to maintenance managers. It shows:
- Date
- Source, including Aircraft and Open Aviation
- Member responsible for the entry
- Comment
Use Refresh to reload and Toggle Search Toolbar to filter by date range, source, member, or comment. Date presets include today, recent periods, current/previous year, and all time.

[SCREENSHOT: maintenance-history-filter | Capture: Search toolbar open with date range and Source set to Open Aviation.]
13.1 Add a history note
- Select the plus icon.
- Enter the note in Add a note to [registration].
- Select Add the note, or Cancel.
- Verify the new entry at the top of History.
Use a history note to preserve important context about the resource. Use Task when ownership or a due date is required, and use the squawk record for technical disposition.
