Signature PADs

Published 20 August 2023, Updated 22 August 2023

Signature PADs are devices used to retrieve signatures from members involved in an activity registered by the flight record manager. When an activity is added using the flight record manager, the primary member and the secondary member shall acknowledge the activity first in order to continue.

If set by administrators, at least one device shall be selected by synchronizing with the portal. The system will register a unique fingerprint defining the device.

Administrators can restrict signature PADs to connect by using their IP address, as for the location. However, IP address can be dynamic and does not accurately define a device. As a security measure, limiting access to selected PADs should be considered by administrators to prevent members to sign using devices out of sight of a Flight record responsible. e.g. devices shall be located just in front to identify members.

Only duly nominated members, with specific valid roles to use the flight record set by administrators, are able to manage
