Configure Scoring Rules

Group option: Passed from

Passed from is the minimum weighted Counted score required for the group to pass. New groups start at 60%. Enter a value from 0 to 100; decimals are accepted.

Choose a threshold that matches the certification policy. Changing it can immediately change current group results and can make a previously synchronized group show Changed.

Lesson scoring options

Option Purpose Example
Weighting Percentage used for this lesson’s contribution. A value of 0 lets the remaining percentage be shared automatically among zero-weight lessons. Set a major evaluation to 40%; leave two supporting lessons at 0% to share the remaining weight.
Max score Highest percentage that may be counted when the selected Apply condition is true. A raw 88% with a 75% maximum counts as 75% when the cap applies.
Apply: Always Applies the maximum to every valid result. Use when the lesson can never contribute more than the configured maximum.
Apply: When lesson is PASSED Applies the maximum only when the source lesson result is passed. Use when passed attempts require a capped contribution.
Apply: When lesson is FAILED Applies the maximum only when the source lesson result is failed. Use when failed attempts need a special cap.
Apply: When lesson has been repeated Applies the maximum only when the member has more than one attempt. Use when repeated training must reduce the maximum contribution.
Failed if less Marks the lesson-level MEES result as FAILED when Counted is below this percentage. Set 60% when the lesson must reach 60% after any cap.

Values are kept between 0 and 100. Weighting is stored as a whole percentage; thresholds and maximums can use decimals where the field allows them.

Changing Weighting, Max score, Apply, Failed if less, group threshold, group order, lesson order, or the selected lessons changes the calculation definition. Review synchronized records in Scores because affected groups can become Changed.
