Example: assign a one-time follow-up
- Open the appropriate Task tab.
- Add a task with a clear Subject and description.
- Set Start and Due dates.
- Keep Status as Not Started and choose the appropriate priority.
- Add the task.
- Assign the responsible person from the In charge column.
- Later, change the Status to In progress, Waiting someone, or Review as appropriate.
- When the work is finished, set Completed and then Closed.
Example: monthly document review
- Add a task and set the first expected Start date.
- Set the Due date a few days after Start if staff need a completion window.
- Open Recurrence and choose Monthly.
- Select the day of the month or an ordered weekday.
- Choose No end date or a suitable End by date.
- Add the task and assign the reviewer.
- Close each completed occurrence so the series advances.
Example: waiting for another person
- Change Status to Waiting someone.
- Keep the task Open.
- Add the expected response and deadline to the description or Due date.
- Assign the staff member responsible for following up.
- Change it back to In progress when the response arrives.
