Search and filter tasks

Click the magnifying glass to display the filter row beneath the column headings.

Useful filters include:

  • Closed: Open, Closed, or All
  • Status: one or more workflow statuses
  • Prio: Low, Normal, High, or All
  • Created, Start, and Due: a date or date range
  • Created by, Subject, and the description area: matching text
  • the related operational reference, when that column is present

Text filters can offer matching choices such as contains, begins with, equals, or does not contain. Choose the operator that best fits what you know.

Common filter situations

SituationWhat to do
A task disappeared after it was closedChange the Closed filter from Open to All or Closed.
You see too many old tasksKeep Closed set to Open, then add Status, Priority, or date filters.
You know only part of the subjectUse the Subject filter with contains.
You need urgent unfinished workUse Open, select the active statuses, and set Priority to High.
The list seems emptyClear text/date filters and check the Closed, Status, and Priority selectors.

Hiding the filter row does not remove the filters. If results still look incomplete after hiding it, show the row again and clear the active values.
