Competencies renewed when passed<\/strong> \u2014 Up to three competencies (1st, 2nd, 3rd) renewed when the lesson is passed, each with its expiry<\/strong> rule. This updates the member’s qualifications, so confirm the competency and expiry with the approved program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lessons credited when this lesson is passed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some lessons cover other lessons of the same course: a check ride can validate earlier exercises, or one long ground session can replace several short ones. List those lessons once here. Each time an instructor saves this lesson as passed for a student, the listed lessons are credited to the student automatically, exactly as if a course responsible had credited them in the Credits<\/strong> tab of the training record (money bag icon, counted as passed, no duration added).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To configure them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. The left list shows the other lessons of this course, grouped by phase. Select one or more lessons.<\/li>\n\n\n
  2. Click the arrow, double-click or drag them to the Credited<\/strong> list.<\/li>\n\n\n
  3. To remove one, move it back to the left list.<\/li>\n\n\n
  4. Save the lesson.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Same course only<\/td>Only lessons of the current course can be credited.<\/td><\/tr>

    No crossed links<\/td>A lesson that already credits this lesson is greyed with (credits this lesson)<\/em> and cannot be selected.<\/td><\/tr>
    Inactive lessons<\/td>Marked (inactive)<\/em>; listed but never credited while inactive.<\/td><\/tr>
    One level only<\/td>A credited lesson never credits its own linked lessons in turn.<\/td><\/tr>
    Editable course only<\/td>The list can be changed only while the course can be modified.<\/td><\/tr>
    Not installed<\/td>This option is not installed yet (database update required)<\/em>: ask your administrator. Lessons save normally in the meantime.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    What happens later, in the training records:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In the training record, the money bag tooltip reads Credited automatically from lesson \u2026 (entry of \u2026)<\/em>, and the Credits tab shows (auto: \u2026)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Dynamic documents<\/strong> \u2014 Move documents from Available documents<\/strong> to Downloadable when passed<\/strong>. They become downloadable when the lesson is completed as passed. The documents themselves are managed with the Dynamic docs<\/strong> tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Members that can register this lesson (Mandated signature)<\/strong> \u2014 Selected members who have access to the course can record this lesson for another pilot in command and certify it with a mandated signature. Leave empty to keep the normal recording permissions. This does not give correction rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Repeats and notifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Lock the lesson when the limit is exceeded<\/strong><\/td>Blocks the lesson once the limit is exceeded (available when a limit is set).<\/td><\/tr>
    Locked in Flight Record once this lesson is passed or credited<\/strong><\/td>Choose a following lesson: once that lesson is passed or credited, this lesson can no longer be selected in Flight Record. Useful for alternative or superseded paths.<\/td><\/tr>
    Notifications<\/strong> \u2014 If passed…<\/strong>, If failed…<\/strong>, If overpassed repeat…<\/strong><\/td>Members e-mailed when the lesson is saved as passed, as failed, or when the repeat limit is exceeded. Search a member and click Add<\/strong>.<\/td><\/tr>
    Notify the student when absent<\/strong><\/td>The student is notified when marked absent for a session, and an attendance report is created if this report type is configured.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    The Items<\/strong> sub-tab lists the exercise items graded in this lesson. The number on the sub-tab is the number of items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Click an item to add it to the lesson, or type a new item title and click +<\/strong> to create it in the group and add it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Grade type list<\/td>The grading scale used (for example 1 to 4<\/em>, F to S<\/em>, Incomplete-Done<\/em>, Unsatisfactory-Incomplete-Satisfactory<\/em>). The Help<\/strong> tab describes each scale.<\/td><\/tr>
      Grade buttons<\/td>Select the minimum grade<\/strong> required for the item; choose No minimum grade<\/strong> to remove it.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

      Drag items to change their order. Item changes are saved immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Link an Observable Behaviour<\/strong> \u2014 click the OB<\/strong> marker of an item, choose the behaviour in the Observable behaviour selection<\/em> window and click Select OB<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
