The correction<\/strong> is the manager’s evaluation of the event: it closes the event report for the member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Write the correction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open the report. The Correction<\/strong> area (grey) contains a sample outline: \u2014 Factual review of the findings<\/strong> (documents, interviews, statistics), \u2014 Immediate action<\/strong> (date, person in charge, role, explanation), \u2014 Analysis and root cause technique<\/strong> used, \u2014 Short term corrective action<\/strong>, Long term corrective action<\/strong>, Long term preventive action<\/strong> (time scale, person in charge, role, explanation).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    For a hazard report, the outline asks for the occurrence, the safety barriers that failed, the barriers that worked and the safety committee analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Click the edit icon<\/strong> at the right of Correction<\/strong> to write comfortably in the Compose text<\/strong> window, then Close<\/strong> to keep the text (Cancel<\/strong> discards it).<\/li>\n\n\n
    2. Add files with the paper clip<\/strong> (you can also drag files onto the correction area).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Save or close<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Click Correct<\/strong> at the bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Save<\/strong><\/td>Saves the correction as a draft. Nothing is sent. The report stays in Not corrected<\/strong>.<\/td><\/tr>
      Save and Close Event<\/strong><\/td>Records the correction with today’s date and your name. The report moves to Events corrected<\/strong>; the member sees Corrected<\/strong> with your text. The correction can no longer be edited (it must be reopened first).<\/td><\/tr>
      Close<\/strong><\/td>Closes the window without saving.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

      Before closing, check who must receive the evaluation: Alert (Creator)<\/strong>, Alert (Concerned)<\/strong>, Alert (Corrector)<\/strong>, Alert (SMS Evaluator)<\/strong>, Alert (QA Inspector)<\/strong> \u2014 the boxes appear only for the people known on the report. Copies sent to people other than the member concerned are titled “ALERT COPY”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      If you do not hold the option Members authorized to correct an event report<\/strong>, the window only offers Save<\/strong> and reminds you that only a member with proper credentials can acknowledge the correction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Reopen a correction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Click the red cross<\/strong> next to Corrected<\/strong> (or Remove, Reopen a Corrective Action Plan<\/strong> in the right-click menu). Explain why in Additional text to the alert<\/strong> and confirm with Yes<\/strong>. The report returns to Not corrected<\/strong> and the text can be updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Good practice:<\/strong> close the event only when the answer is complete and the actions are defined.
