Adding a course<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Click Add a course<\/strong> in the Filters panel (or the +<\/strong> button in the Advanced view).<\/li>\n\n\n
  2. Fill in the Add Course<\/strong> window (see the option reference below).<\/li>\n\n\n
  3. Click Add<\/strong>. Click Close<\/strong> to cancel.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The new course appears in the list after a few seconds. Large files take longer to upload: don’t close the page during the upload.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You can add a course only in a course area where you are a Responsible. If you choose another area, the course isn’t created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Modifying a course<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Click the blue pen<\/strong> on the course card, or right-click the card and choose Edit<\/strong>. The Modify a Course<\/strong> window opens with the current values and these buttons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Test the project<\/strong><\/td>Opens the course content in a new tab so you can check it. Use it after uploading new files.<\/td><\/tr>

    Correction requests<\/strong><\/td>Opens the list of correction requests sent for this course (see Reviewing e-courses, corrections and backups<\/strong>).<\/td><\/tr>
    Close<\/strong><\/td>Closes the window without saving.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    The history<\/strong> block (left side, bottom) shows who created, last modified and last reviewed the course. Click More<\/strong> to open the full history of the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Thumbnail<\/strong> (picture box)<\/td>Click the box to choose the cover picture shown on the cards (JPG, JPEG, PNG, BMP or GIF; best size 300 \u00d7 400 pixels).<\/td>Use a clear picture with the course name, so members recognize it in the grid and on the phone.<\/td><\/tr>
    Title<\/strong> (mandatory)<\/td>The course name shown everywhere.<\/td>Start with a code if your courses follow a programme (for example “PGI TC09-Turns”), so sorting by title keeps the order.<\/td><\/tr>
    Description<\/strong><\/td>Short text under the title and in the tooltip. Members can search on it.<\/td>Put keywords members will type in the search box.<\/td><\/tr>
    Course area<\/strong> (mandatory)<\/td>The family the course belongs to. Decides who can manage and review it.<\/td>Choose the area of the programme.<\/td><\/tr>
    Version<\/strong><\/td>Free text, proposed as year\/month (for example “2026\/10”). Shown in the tooltip.<\/td>Update it each time you upload new content so everyone knows which edition is online.<\/td><\/tr>
    Type<\/strong><\/td>“Course with slides”.<\/td>Keep the default.<\/td><\/tr>
    Course Language<\/strong> (mandatory)<\/td>Language of the content. Feeds the Language<\/strong> filter and the language step on the mobile version.<\/td>One course per language: create separate courses for English and French versions.<\/td><\/tr>
    Duration<\/strong><\/td>Estimated time in minutes. Shown in hours on the cards (“3 hours”) and on the phone (“1.5 h”). 0 = no badge.<\/td>Give a realistic duration so members can plan.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    Right side: who can follow the course<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    Option<\/th>Purpose and impact<\/th><\/tr><\/thead>
    All members<\/strong><\/td>Every member can see and launch the course.<\/td><\/tr>
    Or: roles list<\/strong><\/td>Click inside the box to open the Select roles<\/strong> window, then tick the roles that can follow the course. Only members holding one of these roles will see it. Remove a role with the small x<\/strong> on its label.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    If you select roles, the roles decide: All members<\/strong> only applies when the roles list is empty. If you tick neither All members<\/strong> nor any role, only managers and members with Can see and launch all E-courses<\/strong> can see the course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In the Select roles<\/strong> window, the organization chart shows every role with its description and its number of members. Tick roles one by one, or select a role and use Select childs<\/strong> (the role and all roles under it) or Select siblings<\/strong> (the roles at the same level). Clear<\/strong> unticks everything, Search…<\/strong> + Enter finds a role, Reset<\/strong> restores the chart display. Selected members<\/strong> shows how many people will have access. Click Validate<\/strong> to keep your selection or Close<\/strong> to cancel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Set as inactive<\/strong><\/td>Hides the course from members without deleting it. Managers still see it with Display inactives<\/strong>. Use it to prepare a course before publishing it or to retire an old edition.<\/td><\/tr>
    Keep track<\/strong><\/td>Lets members resume where they stopped and records their progress (Started \/ Completed). Works for iSpring courses and SCORM packages. Switched on by default.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    Upload or modify the course content<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Choose the Type of course<\/strong>, then provide its content:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Ispring solution<\/strong><\/td>Either the Ispring URL<\/strong> (if the project is hosted on iSpring Space), or one ZIP file<\/strong> generated by iSpring with the HTML5 output at its root (as shown in the small example picture).<\/td>When files already exist, the window shows their date and a Force deletion of old files<\/strong> box: tick it to replace the whole content by your new ZIP instead of adding files to it.<\/td><\/tr>
    Powerpoint presentation<\/strong><\/td>One PowerPoint file.<\/td>It is shown with the free Office 365 online viewer. Documents are NOT protected and can be downloaded by viewers.<\/strong> Don’t use this type for confidential material.<\/td><\/tr>
    External URL<\/strong><\/td>The web address to open.<\/td>Use it for a SCORM course hosted elsewhere or any external document or platform.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

    The maximum file size is shown in the window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Remove a file you selected by mistake with the small x<\/strong> at the right of the file box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What happens after saving when review is enabled<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    If your organization uses e-course review and you don’t have the Can review E-courses<\/strong> credential:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • a new or modified course is marked To review<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n
    • members can’t see it until a reviewer validates it;<\/li>\n\n\n
    • new files you upload are kept as pending content<\/strong>, separate from the published content;<\/li>\n\n\n
    • members with the review credential receive a message (if notifications are enabled).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
