Each course belongs to one area. The area decides:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>how courses are grouped in the <strong>Course area<\/strong> filter and on the mobile version, where members browse by area;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>who can manage the courses (<strong>Responsibles<\/strong>);<\/li>\n\n\n<li>who can validate their content (<strong>Reviewers<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Viewing the course areas<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Open the <strong>Course area<\/strong> section of the Filters panel. In the manager view, each area shows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>a <strong>recycle bin<\/strong> (delete) and a <strong>blue pen<\/strong> (modify) when you manage that area;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>the number of courses in brackets;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>areas without any course listed after the others;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>the <strong>Add a new area<\/strong> link at the bottom.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Adding a course area<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Open <strong>Course area<\/strong> and click <strong>Add a new area<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Fill in the window <strong>Add Course area<\/strong>:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><th>Field<\/th><th>Purpose<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Title<\/strong><\/td><td>The area name shown to members (filter, mobile list). Keep it short and clear, for example &#8220;PPL Theory&#8221;.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Description<\/strong><\/td><td>A sentence that explains the area. It is shown under the area name on the mobile version and as a tooltip on the computer.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Responsibles<\/strong><\/td><td>Members who can manage the courses of this area. Type at least two letters of a name in <strong>Search&#8230;<\/strong>, pick the member, then click <strong>Add<\/strong>.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Reviewers<\/strong><\/td><td>Members who can validate content changes in this area. Same method.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Click <strong>Add<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>When you create an area, you are automatically added as Responsible and Reviewer. The window <strong>Modify Course area<\/strong> opens with the current values. Change the title, description or the lists of people, then click <strong>Modify<\/strong>. Click <strong>Close<\/strong> to leave without saving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To remove a person, click the small <strong>x<\/strong> at the right of the name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Deleting a course area<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Click the <strong>recycle bin<\/strong> next to the area and confirm with <strong>Delete<\/strong> in the message &#8220;Are you sure you want to delete this course area. If it is related to any courses, it will be set as inactive!&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>An area <strong>without courses<\/strong> is deleted.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>An area <strong>that still contains courses<\/strong> is set as inactive.
