{"id":4751,"date":"2026-10-09T19:52:03","date_gmt":"2026-10-09T23:52:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.airsupervision.com\/wp-r\/docs\/general-knowledge\/course-training-records\/signatures-corrections-and-changes\/"},"modified":"2026-10-09T19:52:03","modified_gmt":"2026-10-09T23:52:03","slug":"signatures-corrections-and-changes","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/www.airsupervision.com\/wp-r\/docs\/general-knowledge\/course-training-records\/signatures-corrections-and-changes\/","title":{"rendered":"Signatures, corrections and changes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why signatures matter<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When the course requires signatures, each recorded lesson must be signed by the <strong>PIC<\/strong> (or instructor) and, for dual lessons, by the <strong>Student<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>A lesson waiting for a signature shows a check <strong>with a red pen<\/strong> in the lesson list and a contract icon in the <strong>Sig<\/strong> column of the Planning tab.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>When lessons are still unsigned, the page opens a <strong>Missing signature<\/strong> window: <em>&#8220;Some lessons required signatures before being able to save any other activity!&#8221;<\/em> Check which lessons need to be signed and contact the student or the instructor.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>A new lesson cannot be saved while previous lessons are waiting for signatures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Signing a lesson that is already saved<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Open the lesson (use the <strong>To Sign<\/strong> filter of the <strong>&#8230;<\/strong> menu).<\/li>\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>Signature<\/strong> section, click the empty box with your role (<strong>PIC<\/strong> or <strong>Student<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Sign in the window and close it.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Add Sign.<\/strong> (or <strong>Modify or add Sign.<\/strong>) in the <strong>Actions<\/strong> panel.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The confirmation reads <em>&#8220;Signatures has been set.&#8221;<\/em> If the lesson was already signed by someone, only the new signature is saved and the lesson data stays as it was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.airsupervision.com\/wp-r\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/tr-lesson-comment-signature.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"373\" src=\"https:\/\/www.airsupervision.com\/wp-r\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/tr-lesson-comment-signature-1024x373.png\" alt=\"Signature section with the PIC and Student signatures saved\" class=\"wp-image-4715\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.airsupervision.com\/wp-r\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/tr-lesson-comment-signature-1024x373.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.airsupervision.com\/wp-r\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/tr-lesson-comment-signature-300x109.png 300w, https:\/\/www.airsupervision.com\/wp-r\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/tr-lesson-comment-signature-768x280.png 768w, https:\/\/www.airsupervision.com\/wp-r\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/tr-lesson-comment-signature.png 1125w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Signature section with the PIC and Student signatures saved<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n<div class=\"ub-styled-box ub-notification-box\" id=\"ub-styled-box-9f527bfb-41ff-4242-ac32-c19dffb27d5a\">\n\n\n<p><strong>As a student:<\/strong> you can sign only when you are logged in with your own account. Other users see <em>&#8220;To be log to sign&#8221;<\/em> in your box. Sign right after the debriefing, otherwise your next lesson cannot be saved.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ub-styled-box ub-notification-box\" id=\"ub-styled-box-d474947c-7d72-4e2d-a4b3-0af5d94ea7b4\">\n\n\n<p><strong>As an instructor:<\/strong> sign immediately after saving, and make sure the student signs on their own device or session.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>When a lesson becomes locked<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A done lesson becomes read-only when:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>at least one signature has been saved on it,<\/li>\n\n\n<li>it is a credited lesson,<\/li>\n\n\n<li>it was done as a co-pilot,<\/li>\n\n\n<li>the course is closed, or<\/li>\n\n\n<li>you are not the PIC of that entry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To change a locked lesson, ask for a correction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requesting a correction<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Open the lesson.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Request correction<\/strong> in the <strong>Actions<\/strong> panel.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>Request correction for &#8220;lesson&#8221;<\/strong> window, tick what must change:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Date<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Resource or aircraft<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Status passed or not<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Durations<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Remove signatures to edit<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Delete everything<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Explain the change in the text box (maximum 300 characters; the counter shows what is left).<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Request correction<\/strong>. While the request is open, they can modify the lesson, remove its signatures or delete it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Correction tools (correction managers and administrators)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><th>Button<\/th><th>What it does<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Modify or add Sign.<\/strong><\/td><td>Saves the changes made to the lesson and any new signature.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Remove all Signature<\/strong><\/td><td>After confirmation (<em>&#8220;As a course responsible you are about to remove signatures\u2026&#8221;<\/em>), removes every signature so the lesson can be edited. Warn the signers so they sign again.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Delete Entry!<\/strong><\/td><td>After confirmation, deletes the lesson entry and its signatures. Tick <strong>Advise \u2026<\/strong> to send a message to the PIC and\/or the student. Activity sheet items not yet accepted for that entry are deleted too.
