Squawks main tab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6.1 List view<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>List view<\/strong> is the fleet-wide squawk register. It supports sorting, paging, search filters, and status review across resources. Visible information includes aircraft category\/type\/registration, status, creation information, event description, postponement limits, closing information, and tags where available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Double-click or right-click a squawk\/resource row to open the relevant Squawk Manager. Inline editing is available only to authorized members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"screenshot-admin-note\"><code>&#91;SCREENSHOT: maintenance-squawks-list | Capture: Fleet-wide List view with status, registration, event, postponement, closing, and tags columns plus the filter toolbar.&#93;<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6.2 Selector view<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Selector view<\/strong> is optimized for working aircraft by aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Use the left panel to locate a category, type, and registration.<\/li><li>Expand the group if necessary.<\/li><li>Select the aircraft.<\/li><li>Use the detailed Squawk Manager displayed on the right.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The aircraft count reflects the current selector filters. The <strong>&#8230;<\/strong> menu contains:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Collapse all<\/li><li>Expand all<\/li><li>Only Grounded<\/li><li>Grounded and NOT in maintenance<\/li><li>In Maintenance<\/li><li>Only Warning<\/li><li>Only Grounded and Warning<\/li><li>Only available<\/li><li>Reset filters<\/li><li>Refresh<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Use <strong>Reset filters<\/strong> when the count or visible aircraft does not match expectations. By default, the grid emphasizes current items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"screenshot-admin-note\"><code>&#91;SCREENSHOT: maintenance-squawk-grid-columns | Capture: Squawks grid with an open grounded item, a warning item, a postponed item, and a closed dimmed item.&#93;<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7.2 Squawks toolbar<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on access, the toolbar offers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Add a squawk<\/li><li>Modify or view the selected squawk<\/li><li>Clear all filters and refresh<\/li><li>Show\/Hide inactives (closed items)<\/li><li>Toggle Search Toolbar<\/li><li>Print the filtered squawk list<\/li><li>Print a Pilot snag label for a selected pilot snag<\/li><li>Print the ATA chapters list, when ATA is enabled<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pilot snag label action works only when an eligible pilot snag is selected. State what was reported or found without guessing at a cause.<\/li><li>Select the ATA chapter when required by the organization.<\/li><li>If the item is approved for postponement, enter the approved date and\/or TTSN limit, window, explanation, and warning lead time.<\/li><li>Save.<\/li><li>Verify the resulting status and the resource&#8217;s main-grid status.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>A squawk without an approved future limit can ground the resource. The TTSN field also provides quick hour increments where available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key rules:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Date only:<\/strong> the entered day is inclusive; the item becomes overdue after that day.<\/li><li><strong>TTSN only:<\/strong> the limit is reached when actual TTSN meets the entered value.<\/li><li><strong>Date and TTSN:<\/strong> the first condition reached controls.<\/li><li><strong>Window:<\/strong> extends the TTSN threshold by the entered amount and must be treated as controlled maintenance data.<\/li><li><strong>Warning period:<\/strong> changes the display to warning before expiry so work can be planned.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After entering a TTSN, compare the displayed hours from current TTSN. Review the entire item, not only the changed value. Pilot snag descriptions can be locked to preserve the original report; record clarification in the appropriate follow-up or closing text instead of rewriting the pilot&#8217;s statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the system rejects a change, read the message, allow the original value to be restored, and correct the cause before trying again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"screenshot-admin-note\"><code>&#91;SCREENSHOT: maintenance-squawk-edit | Capture: Edit form for an existing postponed squawk with the immutable pilot report and editable control fields visible.&#93;<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"screenshot-admin-note\"><code>&#91;SCREENSHOT: maintenance-squawk-edit-error | Capture: A validation error and the restored original grid value.&#93;<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7.6 Close and optionally renew a squawk<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Select the correct row.<\/li><li>Enter the close date and a complete closing explanation.<\/li><li>Save the close information.<\/li><li>When <strong>Duplicate Squawk<\/strong> appears, choose:<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Duplicate<\/strong> when the same condition must immediately continue as a new controlled item; or<\/li><li><strong>No<\/strong> when no renewal is required.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>If duplicated, review the prefilled description and ATA, then enter fresh limits and justification before saving the new item.<\/li><li>Verify that the original is closed and the renewed item, if any, is open.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The duplicate workflow preserves the original closure while creating a distinct follow-on item. The <strong>Snag uploaded files<\/strong> dialog shows files linked to that event.
