{"id":4155,"date":"2026-10-04T11:17:02","date_gmt":"2026-10-04T15:17:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.airsupervision.com\/wp-r\/?post_type=docs&#038;p=4155"},"modified":"2026-10-04T11:17:02","modified_gmt":"2026-10-04T15:17:02","slug":"edit-a-task-and-view-its-history","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/www.airsupervision.com\/wp-r\/docs\/organization-staff\/tasks-and-task-center\/managing-and-finding-tasks\/edit-a-task-and-view-its-history\/","title":{"rendered":"Edit a task and view its history"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>To open an existing task:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>double-click its row, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>select its row and click the <strong>pencil<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The window shows the task&#8217;s current subject, dates, status, priority, recurrence, description, and creator information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The buttons have these meanings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><th>Button<\/th><th>What it does<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Modify<\/td><td>Saves the changes made in the window.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>History<\/td><td>Opens the chronological record of task changes.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Close<\/td><td>Closes the window without changing the task&#8217;s Open\/Closed state.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Do not confuse the <strong>Close<\/strong> button in the window with closing the task. To close the task itself, right-click its Closed cell and choose <strong>Closed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>History can include creation, edits, priority or status changes, assignments, reopening or closing, and recurring-occurrence activity.
