A Completed task can remain visible as Open until someone explicitly sets Closed to <strong>Closed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"status-reference\">Status reference<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><thead><tr><th>Status<\/th><th>Recommended use<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>Not Started<\/td><td>The work is known but has not begun. This is the default for a new task.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>In progress<\/td><td>Someone is actively working on it.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Completed<\/td><td>The work itself is finished and may be ready to close.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Waiting someone<\/td><td>Progress depends on a response, approval, document, or action from another person.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Deferred<\/td><td>The work has intentionally been postponed. Review its dates and explanation.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Review<\/td><td>The result needs verification before final closure.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Error<\/td><td>A problem prevents normal completion and needs attention.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A reliable completion method is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Set the Status to <strong>Completed<\/strong> when the work is done.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm that the description, assignment, and dates are correct.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set Closed to <strong>Closed<\/strong> when no further active follow-up is needed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Closed tasks remain in the history of the area.
